Christopher R. Carmosino was named President of RBS Business Capital in July 2009. Chris is responsible for all aspects of the delivery of asset-based loans to a national customer base serviced through a dedicated network of offices throughout the United States. Chris joined RBS Business Capital in July of 2006 as Executive Vice President, where he led the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Region, and also managed RBSBC’s capital market activities on a national basis. Chris spent most of his twenty-three year career in various asset-based lending, leveraged lending and capital market activities. Prior to joining RBSBC, Chris managed the Asset-Based Syndicated Loan team for Bank of America, which was the national leader in asset-based loan syndication. Chris led the Loan Syndication division at Fleet Bank, where he managed a group responsible for loan structuring, distribution and trading, as well as mezzanine and private placements. Previous experience includes various roles in asset-based lending, middle market corporate banking and leveraged finance at Bank of Boston and Fleet. Chris received his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and BA from Colby College.

John Behan brings more than 23 years experience in commercial, asset-based, and precious metals lending to his role as National Portfolio Manager and Senior Credit Manager. Before joining RBS Business Capital, John served as Group Manager for the Northeast Asset Based Lending Group, and Precious Metals Underwriting and Portfolio Manager for Fleet Capital Corporation. Prior to that, he held several senior level positions in portfolio management, analysis and underwriting, and loan administration for Fleet Bank and the former Connecticut National Bank. John is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and Commercial Finance League of Connecticut. John received his B.A. from Emory University and his M.B.A in corporate finance from the University of Hartford.

Ira is responsible for the Midwest Region based in Chicago. His responsibilities include both new business origination and ongoing customer relationship management. Ira has more than 20 years of leveraged-lending experience, ranging from asset-based to cash-flow lending. Before joining RBS Business Capital, Ira was Managing Director with New Star Financial. Prior to that, he was the Midwest Region Manager and Marketing Manager at Bank of America Business Capital, the middle market leveraged finance unit of Bank of America. During this time, his groups had originated, structured and underwritten more than $4 billion of leveraged finance transactions, including those with complex capital structures with second-lien, mezzanine and high-yield debt. Prior to his time in lending, Ira worked for six years in the audit and consulting groups of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He received his B.S. in Accounting from Central Michigan University and an M.B.A. from Michigan State University.

Al serves as the Northeast Region Manager based in Stamford and brings more than 20 years of asset-based experience to this role. He is responsible for managing a team of new business development officers, client relationship managers, and the region’s operations staff. He was previously with CIT, where he spent two and a half years as an executive vice president and chief sales officer. Prior to CIT, he spent 13 years at GE, where he held various positions, the last being a Managing Director and New York Region Manager. Al is a graduate of Boston College and received his MBA from the Stern School at New York University. He is active in the Commercial Finance Association and is a past president of the New York Chapter.
